Ready for the rain, yep its almost June dear, the monsoon is going to begin which brings the life source of all living creature to the subcontinent. Usually, the monsoon starts by the month of June and ends by the month of September, you know that our monsoon is called the southwest monsoon, Since they are from that direction and this monsoon was actually due to the temperature phenomenon. Can you get the point, not yet let's brush the physics of your schoolings. Molecules always move from high pressure to low pressure to maintain the balance.

Hence when during the summer times the land gets heated the air above the land gets less dense which leads to reduced pressure. To nullify the reduced pressure the cold air from the Indian ocean such as from the Arabian sea starts to move into the sub-continent. By the month of June, the sea winds hit the western ghats first that's how the coastal areas of Kerela get its rainfall. Due to the uplift of the cold winds to higher altitudes, the air gets precipitated to rain and flourish the land. This sea to land winds movement will be till the month of July where it fully covers the major parts of India, except the southeastern part. Its time for them to return back, during their return they pick up the Water from the Bay of Bengal and fill the southeastern parts of Sub-continent such as Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu etc nearly August to October and this winds were called retrieving monsoon winds or simply Northeast monsoon winds.
